Macau holds a 3D Audiovisual Mapping at St. Paul Ruins as part of the Macau Light Festival 2015.The festival started last December 6 and runs until December 31, 2015. Every night it starts at seven in the evening (played every thirty minutes) and ends at ten. The 3D audiovisual mapping on this site is entitled The Wonderland Illumina. It aims to bring romantic, enchanting and colorful December. The show is for free and thousands of people are expected to come to visit and witness the wonderful light show.
The Facade of the St. Paul Ruins is one of the top destinations of the tourists in Macau because of its outstanding universal value and is one of the very reasons why it is chosen as audiovisual mapping site. The Wonderland Illumina show wows many in which kids and adults alike love the spectacular presentation of lights. Everyone is amazed that they bring their camera or/ and other gadgets to capture the wonderful and colorful show.
The Macao Government Tourist Office (MGTO) and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) organized the Macau Light Festival - Journey of Lights so that visitors will be given a chance to experience and see Macau in the wonderful lights. The Historic Center of Macau and its different beautiful landmarks will showcase stunning audiovisual in 3D effects. Promotion video was also made by the government to encourage many people as possible to watch the presentations not only in the St. Paul but also to the other historical sites such as St. Domic’s Church, House of Mercy, Kau Mansion, Cathedral Square, St. Lawrence’s Church and Lilau Square.
Each historic site has its own unique light arts and visual presentations. Tourists can fully enjoy the Light Festival of Macau if they are going to follow the journey of lights by visiting all the sites mentioned above.
